Tom Paplaczyk, Ohio Market Leader

Rick Amato, Benefit Consultant

Rick has been working in the employee benefits industry for over 12 years. At Strategic Business Services, he works with our network of external brokers, utilizing the agency’s creative tools and strategies to help clients control costs and maintain high quality benefit programs. Rick volunteers at the Church of the Resurrection and St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

Chris Cline, Benefit Consultant

Chris Cline a former United States Marine who served during the first Gulf war, offers a diverse background which includes customer service, quality assurance and project management. As a key Broker with Strategic Business Services his responsibilities include account management, enrollments, online quotes, claim issues, changes and terminations, and communication. Chris and SBS offer all products an employer needs for their employees’ benefit plan.

Martha Kinnaman, Account Manager

Martha’s career in insurance began in 1985. She has worked for carriers, third party administrators, and brokers. She works with employers to create education and communication programs to help employees understand their benefit packages. Martha manages our staff of account managers and administrators. She negotiates renewals and claims issues and works to resolve billing and service issues. Martha is a volunteer for the ALS Association.

Brittany Shumate, Account Manager

With experience in customer service and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) administration, Brittany joined Strategic Business Services in 2008. Brittany is actively involved in negotiating renewals, resolving claims, billing, and service issues. She graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in marketing and transportation and logistics.

John Paplaczyk, Medicare Consultant

John has over 20 years or insurance experience and possesses a diverse knowledge of employee benefits and compliance issues. John has a focus on the individual and Medicare markets and holds a Series 6 license so he may provide retirement plans, 401(k) and 403(b) plans. Retired from the US Army and the Ohio National Guard, John is an active member of the American Legion.

Ruth Johnson, Director of First Impressions

Ruth has been with the agency for 13 years. Her responsibilities include working with all major carriers for medical, dental, vision and life for group renewals. Ruth also serves as support for our sales staff by producing online quotes and managing enrollments and terminations. Ruth is involved with the American Cancer Society and the National Humane Society.
